Is MyFans Uncensored? Mosaic Rules Explained

Short answer: no. Like all legal Japanese adult content, explicit posts on MyFans are censored with a mosaic. Here is what the rules require and why.

Why Japanese content is censored

Japanese obscenity law (Article 175 of the Penal Code) is the reason commercial adult content made in Japan is mosaicked. MyFans is a Japanese platform, so its rules follow the same standard.

What MyFans requires

Creators must conceal genitals and any penetration with a mosaic or another method MyFans accepts. This applies to photos, videos and anything sent in direct messages.

Any mosaic type is allowed if it fully hides the area, but MyFans may remove posts that use non-tile mosaics it judges too light. The strength must match what major Japanese adult studios use.

Uncensored posts or DMs are treated as an immediate violation of the terms.

What this means for you

Every adult post you buy on MyFans is mosaicked, whichever country you watch from. A VPN or a different region doesn’t change the content.

Be wary of anyone offering “uncensored” versions of a MyFans creator’s posts — they break MyFans’ rules and may be pirated or fake. Support creators through MyFans itself.

Many fans subscribe for what mosaics don’t affect: the creator’s personality, regular posts, photo sets and the chance to support them directly. Check a creator’s free posts and plan descriptions to see what they offer.

≈ amounts are a rough guide in USD using the Thu, 08 Oct 2026 rate from Rates By Exchange Rate API. MyFans charges in yen, adds a purchase fee at checkout, and your card company sets the final exchange rate and any overseas fee.
