Japanese Terms on MyFans Profiles: An English Glossary

Updated 9 October 2026 · Checked against the MyFans help centre: 9 October 2026

Short answer

The words that matter most before you pay are プラン (plan), 加入 (joining a plan), 単品 (a single item sold on its own), 見放題 (all-you-can-watch), バックナンバー (older posts past their publication deadline), 継続特典 (posts that unlock as you stay subscribed) and 初月 … お得 (a first-month saving). Style words such as 素人 (amateur), ギャル (gyaru fashion) and コスプレ (cosplay) describe a creator’s genre.

MyFans profiles are written in Japanese, and machine translation often mangles the short labels that matter most: what a plan includes, whether a deal applies, what style a creator works in. This glossary covers the words you’ll see most, with romanization and a plain meaning.

Plans and buying

These words appear on plan cards, buttons and checkout screens. The definitions come from MyFans’ own help articles, listed in the sources below.

Style and genre words

A tip for searching: MyFans treats hiragana, katakana and kanji as different words. MyFans’ own example is that 裏垢 won’t match a search for うらあか or ウラアカ. Copy the exact form shown on a profile. You can combine up to three genre or tag conditions in one search. Our guide to finding Japanese creators explains search and rankings step by step, or browse creators we’ve already written up in English.
