MyFans Renewal Failed? What 決済失敗中 Means and What to Do

Your card worked when you joined, but this month the renewal didn’t go through. Now a plan shows 決済失敗中, or a pop-up asks you to update your payment details. Here is exactly what MyFans does next, what you can still see, and how long you have to fix it.

Step by step

1. Open your active plansAccount → 購入・保存 (Purchased/Saved) → ライブラリ (Library) → 加入中のプラン (active plans). A failed plan is marked 決済失敗中.
2. Start the re-paymentPress 今すぐ決済情報を更新 (update payment information now). From a locked post, the 決済を更新して視聴する (update payment to watch) button does the same.
3. Change the payment methodChoose 決済方法を更新する (update payment method) and add a working payment method.
4. Complete the paymentPress お支払いを完了する (complete payment). Once it succeeds, the plan’s paid posts open again.

What you keep while payment is failing

During 決済失敗中, you can’t view the paid posts of the plan whose payment failed, but you can still watch its sample videos. When the re-payment succeeds, the plan’s paid content opens again.

In the English interface, MyFans adds a wider restriction. While any plan has an unpaid payment, a pop-up appears and “certain features and actions” are temporarily restricted. MyFans doesn’t list which ones. The restrictions only lift when every affected plan has been either paid or cancelled, so check all your plans, not just the one you noticed.

If the plan ends up cancelled, the usual cancellation rules apply. The plan’s posts close, and so do older months unlocked through its 継続特典 (continuation bonus), including past months you bought on the plan. Single posts and single back-number months bought separately are their own purchases.

Why a renewal can fail when nothing changed

Card refused by the payment company. MyFans says its payment company may stop accepting certain cards, even ones that work elsewhere or used to work on MyFans. MyFans can’t tell you which cards are accepted. If this happens at renewal, the renewal fails and the plan is cancelled.

The wrong card was charged. At renewal, MyFans normally charges the card you used when you first joined that plan, not necessarily your default card. If you deleted that card, it uses your default card. So adding a new default card doesn’t always fix a failed renewal. Use the re-payment flow above, which lets you choose the payment method for that plan.

Your bank declined a foreign charge. MyFans charges in yen. If your card is issued outside Japan, your bank may block or flag the payment. That’s a question for your card issuer. Our card declined guide lists what to ask.

Avoiding the next failure

Know your renewal date. It’s shown in 加入中のプラン. MyFans renews on the same date the following month, or the last day of a shorter month.

Keep the card you joined with valid, or update the plan’s payment method before a card expires. If card payments keep failing, MyFans lists other methods; see paying without a credit card. Note that only card payments get the 14-day re-payment window.

If you rejoin a plan after it was cancelled, you pay the plan fee again. MyFans says a first-month campaign won’t apply again on a plan you’ve joined before. For how renewals and charges work in general, see billing and renewal.
