Charged after the Premium free period? Check these things first
One of the most common myfans complaints from Taiwan: a charge — sometimes large — appears after a Premium free period ends, on an account the user barely opened. Before assuming fraud, work through the official mechanics. Premium is a separate contract from every creator plan.
1. What Premium is (and isn't)
- A platform membership (¥1,980/month plus purchase fee) for viewing features such as playback up to 4K. Not part of any creator's plan.
- Monthly and annual plans; the help describes the annual plan as working out to ¥1,650/month.
- The payment-methods article mentions a Premium free period, but its length and conditions are not published. Sites quoting an exact length aren't quoting myfans.
- Premium and plans renew separately; cancelling one never cancels the other.
2. Check your purchase history first
Purchase history is the official record of what each charge was for. The contact form names Premium annual charges among the examples to check when a charge looks unfamiliar. Statements deliberately show a name other than "myfans", so your card statement may not look like myfans at all — the statement name is shown in purchase history.
3. Cancel the right contract
- Cancel Premium itself to stop the next charge.
- Premium cancellation is immediate; no proration.
- You can't delete your account while Premium or any plan is active.
4. Refunds — the official position
No prorated refunds; the statutory disclosure page says fees are not returned for any reason after contract. If you never agreed to the charge, use the contact form's unrecognised-charge option (it may ask for purchase-history and statement screenshots). The help warns that reporting a charge to your card company as unrecognised can lead to account suspension — use the form first, and keep screenshots.
