MyFans vs OnlyFans: Key Differences

Updated 8 October 2026 · Based on MyFans’ official help centre

Both platforms let you pay creators for exclusive posts. The practical differences for a fan outside Japan come down to who is there, the currency you pay in, and how plans are structured.

Who you will find

MyFans is a Japanese platform, so it is where many Japanese creators publish. OnlyFans is international and English-first.

Currency and payment

MyFans prices are listed in Japanese yen, plus a purchase fee at checkout; your card company converts the charge. MyFans lists Visa, Mastercard and JCB among its card options. Some Japanese payment methods there need a Japanese phone number.

Plans

On MyFans a creator can run several monthly plans at different prices, each unlocking different posts, and can also sell individual posts. Plans renew monthly on the date you joined.

To stop paying on MyFans you cancel each plan separately, at least a day before it renews.

Language

The MyFans interface has a language setting, but most creator posts are in Japanese.

Quick answers

Is MyFans safe to use from abroad?

MyFans officially accepts overseas members who pay by card. Check the plan contents and renewal date before you subscribe.
