Why Did My Free myfans "Trial" Start Charging Me? The Official Rules

Short answer

A first-month discount, a free creator plan and myfans Premium are separate products. Check which one you joined before taking action.

First-month discounts

A creator may offer up to 100% off the first month. A 100% discount makes that month free, including the purchase fee. From the second month, the plan renews at its regular price. Users who have previously joined that plan are not eligible for the discount again.

Free creator plans

myfans requires payment information to join a free plan, but says no payment occurs when you have only free plans. If a creator changes a plan's price, existing subscribers' renewal price does not automatically change.

myfans Premium

myfans Premium is a separate subscription from creator plans. Its monthly plan costs ¥1,980 plus a purchase fee; an annual plan also exists. Official help mentions a free period but does not state its length, conditions or what happens when it ends. Manage Premium under other active plans.

Check your renewal date

To check the next renewal date, open Account information, then Purchase and save, Library and Active plans. The cited help does not explain where to check the next charge amount.

Cancel before renewal

To stop a regular subscription renewing, cancel manually by the day before the renewal date. Access ends immediately on cancellation; myfans says it does not prorate or refund the remaining period. Deleting a card does not cancel a subscription. If the original renewal card has been deleted, myfans says the default card is used.
