Paying for myfans from Korea
This page uses only myfans' own help centre and terms. Where myfans does not say something, we say so.
What myfans accepts
myfans' Japanese help lists cards (Visa, Mastercard, JCB), BitCash, Paidy, atone and deferred payment. Paidy, atone and deferred payment are only for users with a Japanese phone number that can receive SMS. PayPal is not on the official list. Whether cards issued outside Japan are accepted is not stated.
Phone verification first
Payment is not possible until phone verification is complete. Whether non-Japanese numbers can be verified is not stated.
What it costs
Prices are in yen. myfans' terms (Article 14) say a payment in another currency is settled at the equivalent of the yen amount, and that for fan-club fees the yen amount does not change with exchange rates. A purchase fee is added at checkout: the Japanese plan-system article gives no rate, while the English version states 5%. The Japanese payment article says a separate overseas settlement fee may be charged by your card company.

Purchase fees are added on myfans. Check the total and plan coverage before paying.
Your card's own settings
Settings that can block an overseas payment are controlled by your card issuer. myfans' official help does not describe issuer-side settings; check your own card's settings with your issuer.
If a charge looks wrong
Check your myfans purchase history first, then contact myfans through its official contact form. The Japanese help warns that telling your card company a charge is unfamiliar can lead to account suspension; the English article with the same ID describes improper refund requests being reported to the police instead.
