pixiv Fan Letters: The One-Week Window, Privacy and Delivery

Updated and checked against the MyFans help centre on 12 October 2026

Short answer

Fans who requested or co-requested a finished work can send its creator a Fan Letter with their impressions. Open the finished request’s details page and choose “Send fan letter”. You get one letter per request, from 1 to 3,000 characters, and it has to be sent within one week of completion. Only you and the creator can read it, though other users can see that a letter was sent, and once it’s sent you can’t edit it.

Your pixiv request is finished and you want to tell the creator how much you love it? That’s exactly what Fan Letters are for. Here’s the window you have, who sees what, and what to expect after you send it.

Who can send a Fan Letter

Fan Letters belong to the people behind a finished request: the fan who requested the work and anyone who co-requested it. They’re a way to share your impressions with the creator once the work is done.

For how a request works before this point, see the pixiv Requests guide.

For co-request access and privacy before completion, see pixiv co-requests.

How to send one

Go to the request-details page for your finished request and choose “Send fan letter”. Your letter can be anywhere from 1 to 3,000 characters.

One letter, one week

Each request allows only one Fan Letter, and it has to be sent within one week of completion. If you’d like to write one, set aside a little time soon after the work is finished.

A sent Fan Letter can’t be edited afterward. Read it through once more before you send it.

Who can read it

The letter itself is private: only you and the creator can read it. Other users can still see that a letter was sent.

If your request or co-request was anonymous, your Fan Letter stays anonymous too. Your information is hidden from the creator and from other users.

After you send it

A Fan Letter may take a few days to reach the creator. Until then it shows “Being delivered”, so don’t worry if it doesn’t arrive straight away.
