Short answer
You open FANBOX and the plan you support is gone. Here’s what that means for the posts you could read, what you’ll pay if you pick another plan, and what happens if the creator brings a plan back.
What happens the moment a plan is deleted
Deleting a plan automatically stops every supporter’s pledge to it, and each supporter’s status changes to Following. You don’t need to cancel anything yourself.
What you can still read
Posts that the deleted plan made available to you stay readable until the end of the month. From the following month, that access ends. If there’s something you’d like to revisit, this month is the time.
Your options in the deletion month
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| The plan is deleted | Your pledge stops automatically and your status becomes Following |
| Reading posts from the deleted plan | Available until the end of that month; ends the following month |
| Switching to a same-price or cheaper plan from that creator | No additional charge that month |
| Switching to a higher-priced plan | Pay the price difference; JPY 120 handling fee per creator if you pay it at a convenience store |
| The creator recreates a plan at the same or a lower price | Rejoin that month with no additional charge |
| Future months prepaid at a convenience store | Refunded; FANBOX contacts you about the transfer |
Choosing another plan that month
In the month the plan was deleted, you can switch to another plan from the same creator, and if it costs the same or less, there’s no additional charge. If it costs more, you pay the difference. Paying that difference at a convenience store adds a JPY 120 handling fee per creator.
If you prepaid at a convenience store
If you paid for future months in advance through convenience-store payment, FANBOX refunds those future months when the plan is deleted. FANBOX contacts you about how the refund will be transferred. This applies to future months prepaid by convenience-store payment.
If the creator brings a plan back
FANBOX’s guidance for creators who rebuild their plans is to announce the replacement in advance, remove the old plan by the end of the month before, and create the new plan at the start of the month. It’s advice to creators rather than a rule, but if your creator follows it, you’ll hear about the change ahead of time. If the creator recreates a plan at the same or a lower price, you can rejoin in the month the plan was deleted without an additional charge. Check the creator’s page during that month.
