Short answer
A Fantia post you enjoyed, free or paid, can take a tip (チップ) on top. Before you send one, it helps to know how your name appears, what the tip does and doesn’t change, and what happens if the post later disappears.
Which posts you can tip
Tips are optional, and they work on both free and paid creator posts. The creator receives the tip amount after fees are deducted.
Normal or anonymous: how your name appears
With a normal tip, the creator sees your nickname. With an anonymous tip, the sender is shown as anonymous instead. The trade-off is points: anonymous tips don’t earn Fantia support points.
Whichever you choose, Fantia tells the creator by email and with an on-site notification when the tip is settled. That includes anonymous tips, so the creator still learns a tip arrived, just without your nickname.
What a tip changes at a glance
| Point | What to know |
|---|---|
| Posts you can tip | Free and paid creator posts |
| What the creator receives | The tip amount after fees |
| Name shown | Your nickname for a normal tip; “anonymous” for an anonymous tip |
| Support points | Not earned on anonymous tips |
| Creator notification | Email and on-site notification when the tip is settled, anonymous tips included |
| The post | Can show a colored border and the reaction stamp for its highest tip |
| The creator’s plan | Its content doesn’t change |
| If the post is deleted | Stamp removed, tip history kept for the creator, no refund |
What a tip changes on the post
A tipped post can display a colored border and the reaction stamp for its highest tip. What a tip doesn’t touch is the plan: tipping doesn’t change the content of the creator’s plan. A tip is a thank-you for that post, not a route to plan-only content.
If a tipped post is deleted
If a post you tipped is deleted, its reaction stamp disappears with it. The tip history is kept for the creator, and the tip isn’t refunded.
Before you send a tip
Three questions settle most choices. Do you want the creator to see your nickname, or would you rather appear as anonymous? Do Fantia support points matter to you? If they do, keep in mind that anonymous tips earn none. And are you tipping for the post itself? A tip doesn’t change the creator’s plan, and it isn’t refunded if the post is later deleted.
