MyFans on iPhone, Android and Desktop: Is There an App?

Updated 8 October 2026 · Based on MyFans’ official help centre

Fans outside Japan often look for a MyFans app in their app store. MyFans’ help centre describes using the service in a web browser, so this guide covers the browsers it recommends and how to get the most out of MyFans on each device.

MyFans’ help centre describes MyFans as a website you use in a browser: Safari on iPhone and iPad, Chrome on Android, and Chrome, Edge or Safari on a computer, all kept up to date. It doesn’t describe a MyFans app for iPhone or Android. Your account works the same on every device, and changing phones doesn’t affect it.

MyFans lists these as its recommended set-ups: on iPhone and iPad, the latest iOS or iPadOS with the latest Safari; on Android, the latest Android with the latest Google Chrome; on Windows, the latest Chrome or Microsoft Edge; on a Mac, the latest Safari or Chrome.

It warns that some features may not work with older operating systems or browsers, some in-app browsers, settings that restrict JavaScript or cookies, or certain browser extensions and ad blockers.

We couldn’t find a MyFans app for iPhone or Android described anywhere in MyFans’ help centre. As general advice, sign in only at myfans.jp in your browser, and be wary of any app or site that asks for your MyFans login and isn’t clearly MyFans itself.

Avoid in-app browsers

Many fans first reach a creator through a link on X, Instagram or LINE, which opens inside that app’s own browser. MyFans says pages may not display correctly there, and suggests opening the link in Safari or Google Chrome instead.

The same goes for browser page translation. MyFans warns that it can break parts of the site, so use MyFans’ own language setting (言語設定) for English instead. See MyFans in English.

As general advice for quick access, both Safari and Chrome let you add a website to your home screen from the share or browser menu. It then opens like an app, but it’s still the myfans.jp website.

Viewing on a phone

On a smartphone, a post with several images opens as a grid. Tap any image to open it, swipe left or right to move between images in the same post, and swipe up or down to move to the previous or next post. Single-image posts open as before.

Videos start muted. If you can’t hear anything, tap the speaker icon on the video. If there’s no speaker icon or other controls at all, MyFans suggests updating your browser or operating system and clearing the cache. Also check that your phone isn’t muted, that the post isn’t images only, and that the creator recorded sound in the first place.

Your viewing history (視聴履歴) is under Home, where you can sort it and remove posts with the bin icon.

Viewing on a computer

MyFans’ post pages have a computer layout: the photos or video, description and buttons on one side, and the post’s other images and more posts from the same creator on the other. The URL is the same on every device; the layout simply follows your screen width, so narrowing the window gives you the phone layout.

Everything you can do on a post — watch the sample or full video, buy or join a plan, like, save, follow, comment, share or report — works the same on a computer as on a phone.

Changing phones and myfans Premium

Your MyFans account isn’t tied to a device, so a new phone doesn’t affect it. If the email address you log in with will stop working when you switch, MyFans says to note it down, log in on the new phone with the old address and password, then change your registered email. X (Twitter) logins keep working as long as your X account does.

myfans Premium is an optional MyFans membership at ¥1,980 a month, or the equivalent of ¥1,650 a month on the annual plan, with a purchase fee added on top. It adds higher-quality playback — a format optimised for smartphones, up to 4K — plus seek-bar previews, scene jump and playlists. Not every post supports the playback features, and posts from before they launched aren’t covered.

Premium doesn’t unlock any creator’s posts, and cancelling Premium doesn’t cancel your creator plans (or the other way round). Our prices guide puts it alongside MyFans’ other costs.

Quick answers

Is there an official MyFans app?

MyFans’ help centre describes using MyFans in a browser and lists recommended browsers; it doesn’t describe an iPhone or Android app. Use myfans.jp in Safari or Chrome.

Why won’t MyFans load properly when I open it from X?

Links on X, Instagram or LINE open in the app’s own browser, where MyFans may not display correctly. Open the link in Safari or Chrome instead.

Do I need a new account on a new phone?

No. Your account isn’t tied to a device. Just log in on the new phone; if your login email is changing, update it first.

What do MyFans playlists do?

Playlists are a myfans Premium feature for sorting saved posts into up to 30 private lists of up to 100 posts each. If you cancel Premium, your playlists are kept and come back if you rejoin.
