MyFans Billing and Renewal: When You’re Charged
MyFans plans renew automatically each month, and a few rules decide exactly when you pay and what you can still see. Knowing them helps you avoid paying twice or losing access by surprise.
When you’re charged
MyFans takes payment at two points only: when you join a plan and when it renews automatically. A purchase fee is added at checkout, so check the total on the confirmation screen.
Prices are in yen. Your card company converts the charge at its own rate, may add an overseas transaction fee, and decides when the charge reaches your statement. MyFans tells you to ask your card company about all three.
At renewal, MyFans normally charges the card you used to join, even if it isn’t your default card. If you’ve deleted that card, it may charge your default card instead.
How the renewal date works
A monthly plan renews on the same date the next month: join on 15 March and it renews during 15 April.
Where that date doesn’t exist, renewal moves earlier. If you joined on the 31st, it renews on the 30th in a 30-day month. If you joined on the 29th, 30th or 31st, it renews on the 28th in February (the 29th in a leap year), and on the 28th or 29th in later months.
Check the exact date under Account → Purchased/Saved (購入・保存) → Library (ライブラリ) → Subscribed plans (加入中のプラン).
MyFans asks you to cancel by the day before the renewal date and doesn’t refund problems caused by cancelling on the renewal day itself. As MyFans doesn’t say which time zone it uses, cancelling a day or more early is the safe choice from the US, UK, Canada or Australia.
Changing plans or holding several
MyFans has no plan-switching feature. You can subscribe to several plans at once, including more than one from the same creator, and each one is billed separately.
Joining a higher-priced plan doesn’t cancel your current one, so you’ll pay for both until you cancel the cheaper plan yourself. The posts in a cancelled plan lock as soon as you cancel, so if you’re moving up, it’s worth checking first that the new plan includes what you want.
If a creator changes a plan’s price, existing subscribers keep renewing at the price they joined at. The new price applies to new subscribers — and to you if you cancel and join again.
Bundles and first-month discounts
A bundle covers 3, 6 or 12 months of a plan, paid in one charge. Unless you cancel by the day before the next renewal date, the same bundle renews automatically when it ends. Coupons can’t be used on bundles, and some payment methods can’t buy them.
A first-month discount applies to the first month only; from the second month you pay the plan’s normal price. You only get it once per plan, and MyFans says card payments don’t get the first-month discount on plans above a certain price, so check the confirmation screen.
What happens after you cancel
For a monthly plan, you lose access to its posts the moment you cancel — not at the end of the month you paid for. There’s no pro-rata refund, and joining the same plan again means paying again.
Bundles bought from 14 November 2025 work differently: after you cancel, you keep access until the bundle period ends. Until then you can undo the cancellation from Subscribed plans, but you can’t delete your account.
Posts you bought individually are separate from plans. Past months bought through a plan’s loyalty tab, however, close when you cancel that plan. Step-by-step instructions are in our cancellation guide.
If a renewal payment fails
If a card renewal fails, the plan shows “決済失敗中” (payment failed) and its paid posts lock. You have 14 days to update your payment method and pay again before the plan is cancelled automatically. Our card declined guide explains the steps.

Quick answers
Can I get a refund for the rest of the month if I cancel early?
No. MyFans doesn’t offer pro-rata refunds, and a monthly plan’s posts lock as soon as you cancel. See our refunds guide for the few cases MyFans covers.
I joined a better plan. Why was I charged twice?
Joining a new plan doesn’t cancel your old one. You pay for every plan you’re subscribed to until you cancel it yourself.
Will my price go up if the creator raises it?
Not while you stay subscribed. Existing subscribers keep renewing at their original price; the new price applies only if you cancel and join again.
Where do I see my next charge date?
Account → Purchased/Saved (購入・保存) → Library (ライブラリ) → Subscribed plans (加入中のプラン) shows each plan’s next renewal date.
